Privacy Policy

Effective: September 23, 2026 Last updated: September 23, 2026 Applies to: the AI Decor iOS app and aidecor.space

The short version

  • There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number to use the app.
  • When you tap Generate, your room photo and your design choices are sent over an encrypted connection to OpenAI, our AI provider, to create the design. We don’t keep your photos on our servers, and OpenAI does not use them to train its models.
  • Your photos and finished designs are stored on your iPhone. You can erase them at any time in Settings → Delete all photos and designs.
  • We use a few trusted services to process subscriptions, understand how the app is used, measure our marketing and fix crashes. They receive technical and usage data, never your photos.
  • If you ask Apple for a refund, we may tell Apple how the purchase was used — for example how long you used the App and how much you spent — so it can decide the request. You can opt out at any time.
  • We don’t sell your personal information. The App asks your permission before tracking — only if you allow it do we use your device’s advertising identifier to measure our ads, and you can change your mind at any time in iOS Settings.

1.Who we are

AI Decor (the “App”) is an AI interior design app for iPhone published on the Apple App Store by Vladislav Nasonov, an independent developer (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this Privacy Policy.

You can reach us about anything privacy-related at help@aidecor.space.

This policy explains what information the App and this website process, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Terms of Use.

2.What we process

2.1 Photos and design choices you provide

To create a design, you take a photo with the camera or choose one from your photo library. Together with the photo, the App uses the choices you make in the design wizard: the type of room, the style, the mode (for example, “Keep the layout” or “Just add furniture”), the color palette, and — if you use it — a custom style description you type. When you tap the magic wand, the App asks our AI provider to suggest a style description.

Room photos can sometimes show people, personal belongings, documents or the view from a window. Please avoid photographing people or anything you would not want processed; we do not use photos to identify anyone, and we do not perform facial recognition.

2.2 Designs, history and balance stored on your device

Your original photos, finished designs and design history are stored locally in the App’s storage on your iPhone. Your design balance (how many designs you have left and which packs were credited) is stored in your device’s Keychain. We do not have a cloud copy of this information.

If you save a design, it is written to your photo library. The App asks only for permission to add photos — it cannot browse or read your library. When you pick a photo, iOS hands the App only the photo you select.

2.3 Purchases and refund requests

Subscriptions and design packs are sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes your payment; we never receive your card details, name or Apple Account email. We receive transaction information (such as product, price, currency, purchase and renewal dates, trial status and a transaction identifier) through our subscription platform, Apphud, which validates purchases and tells the App which features you have unlocked. Apphud assigns a random user identifier to your installation of the App.

Refund requests. Refunds for App Store purchases are decided by Apple. When you ask Apple for a refund, Apple may send us a “consumption request” asking how the purchase was used. Apphud answers these requests on our behalf through its Win Back Refunds service and sends Apple consumption information: an anonymous account identifier, whether you consented to this data sharing, your current subscription status, how long you have used the App and your account age, how much of the purchase you have used (for example, the number of designs created), whether you had a free trial, and the total amount you have spent in the App and had refunded. Apple uses this information only to decide the refund request. We never send Apple your photos, designs, style descriptions or contact details.

You agree to this sharing when you accept our Terms of Use. You can opt out at any time: email help@aidecor.space with the subject “Refund data opt-out” and include the Apple order ID from your App Store receipt, so we can find your purchases. After you opt out, we tell Apple that you have not consented and share no consumption information about you. Opting out does not affect how you can use the App or request a refund.

2.4 Usage analytics

We use Mixpanel and Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used so we can improve it. They receive events such as screens viewed, buttons tapped, onboarding progress, the styles, rooms and modes selected, whether a generation succeeded or failed, and purchase events. Along with events they collect technical data: a pseudonymous identifier (including the Apphud user identifier and a Firebase app-instance identifier), device model, iOS version, app version, language, time zone, and approximate location (country or city) derived from your IP address. Analytics never receive your photos or the designs themselves.

2.5 Marketing attribution and tracking permission

We use AppsFlyer, and Google’s conversion measurement that is part of Firebase, to learn which of our advertising campaigns led to an install or a subscription. These services receive technical data such as your IP address, the identifier for vendor (IDFV), device model and iOS version, install and launch times, and in-app events such as a trial start or a purchase.

The App asks for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you tap “Allow”, the App also reads your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) and shares it, together with the install and in-app events above, with our attribution and analytics partners (AppsFlyer and Google). They use it to match your install to the ad you saw and to report the result to the advertising networks we use to promote the App, so we can measure and improve our campaigns. This is “tracking” as Apple defines it. If you tap “Ask App Not to Track”, the App never reads the IDFA and attribution relies only on Apple’s privacy-preserving, aggregated methods (SKAdNetwork / AdAttributionKit) and the technical data listed above, without linking you to data from other companies.

You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. We never use your photos, style descriptions or designs for advertising.

2.6 Crash and error reports

If the App crashes or hits an error, Sentry receives a diagnostic report: the error and stack trace, device model, iOS version, app version, free memory and storage, and a short log of recent in-app actions that led up to the problem. Screenshots are turned off — reports never include an image of your screen.

2.7 App configuration

Firebase Remote Config lets us adjust settings — such as how many designs a plan includes — without releasing an update. To deliver them, Firebase uses an app-instance identifier and basic device information.

2.8 Messages to support

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and anything you attach. We use it only to answer you.

2.9 What we don’t collect

  • No account details — no name, email address, phone number or password.
  • No precise location, contacts, calendars, microphone or health data.
  • No browsing of your photo library, and no photos other than the ones you choose.
  • No advertising identifier (IDFA) and no cross-app tracking unless you allow tracking in Apple’s prompt.

3.How your photos are processed

Because the photo is the heart of the App, here is exactly what happens when you tap Generate:

  1. The App scales the photo down (to about 1024 pixels on its longest side) and combines it with a text instruction built from your choices.
  2. The photo and instruction are sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection, protected with certificate pinning, to a secure intermediary server that we use to access the AI provider. The intermediary server forwards the request and passes the result back; it does not store your photo or your design.
  3. The image is created by OpenAI through the OpenAI API. Under OpenAI’s API data policies, content sent through the API is not used to train OpenAI’s models. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days to provide the service and to detect abuse, after which they are deleted, unless OpenAI is required by law to keep them longer. OpenAI may also run automated safety checks; if a request is declined, you receive an error and your design is returned to your balance.
  4. The finished design is sent back to your iPhone and saved in the App’s local storage.

Custom style descriptions and magic-wand suggestions follow the same path and are handled by an OpenAI text model.

We do not use your photos, descriptions or designs to train any AI model, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not publish them. We will never share them except as described here.

4.Why we use it

We use personal data only for the purposes below. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the table also shows our legal basis under the GDPR.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced them against your rights and use the least data we can, in pseudonymous form. You can object at any time (see section 8).

5.Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the App. They act on our behalf (as processors or service providers) or under their own terms where stated, and are bound by contracts that require them to protect it.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety and property of our users or others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the App — in which case the new owner will be bound by this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers. If you allow tracking, our attribution partner reports installs and in-app events linked to your advertising identifier to the advertising networks that ran our ads, as described in section 2.5.

6.International transfers

Our providers operate in the United States and other countries, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live. When data from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK addendum) or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified.

7.How long we keep it

  • Photos and designs on your iPhone — until you delete them in the App, delete the App, or erase your device.
  • Photos in processing — our intermediary server keeps nothing once the request is complete; OpenAI may keep API data for up to 30 days, as described in section 3.
  • Usage analytics and attribution data — in pseudonymous form for no longer than 26 months, then deleted or aggregated.
  • Crash reports — up to 90 days.
  • Purchase records — as long as your subscription is active and afterwards for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
  • Support emails — up to 2 years after the conversation ends, unless we need them longer to resolve a dispute.

8.Your choices and rights

Controls in the App and on your iPhone

  • Delete your photos and designs: Settings → Delete all photos and designs. This permanently removes them from the App. Designs you saved to your photo library are not affected.
  • Camera and photo permissions: change them anytime in iOS Settings → AI Decor.
  • Tracking: allow or stop tracking at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you turn it off, the App stops reading your advertising identifier.
  • Subscriptions: manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
  • Refund data: to stop us sharing consumption information with Apple when you request a refund, email help@aidecor.space with the subject “Refund data opt-out” and include the Apple order ID from your App Store receipt, so we can find your purchases.
  • Everything at once: deleting the App removes its local storage from your device.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing (including processing based on legitimate interests), receive it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you gave. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California and other U.S. states: residents of states with consumer privacy laws have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to delete and correct it; and to opt out of its sale or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. If you allow tracking, sharing your advertising identifier and in-app events for ad measurement may count as “sharing” under California law. You can opt out at any time by turning off tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or by emailing us. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. In the past 12 months we collected the categories described in section 2: identifiers (pseudonymous and device identifiers, and your advertising identifier if you allow tracking), commercial information (purchases), internet or app activity, approximate location, and user content (photos and text you provide).

How to make a request

Email help@aidecor.space. Because the App has no accounts, we may ask for details that help us find data linked to your installation — for example, the date of a purchase or the Apple order ID from your receipt. We will respond within 30 days (or sooner where the law requires).

9.Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10.Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS with certificate pinning on the connection used for generation), local storage protected by iOS data protection, the Keychain for your design balance, and by giving our providers only the data they need. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.

11.This website

aidecor.space is a simple informational website. It does not use cookies or advertising trackers. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which automatically processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and keep them secure.

To count visits and measure page speed we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service. It records aggregate information such as the pages viewed, the referring site, the browser, device type and country, and page-load timings. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not create a profile of you and does not track you across other websites. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Apart from this analytics script, all fonts, images and scripts are served from aidecor.space itself.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves or the law changes. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will give notice in the App or on this website before they take effect.
